Each four-week class is assigned a value of 3 credits. In one school year a student will earn 27 credits if all nine classes are completed. An additional practicum class consisting of volunteering in a church or related ministry for 75 hours during the year is worth 3 credits also. Each school year is equal to 30 credits.

- 120 credits qualify a student for a Bachelor of Arts in Theology.

- 201 credits qualify a student for a Doctorate of Ministry in Theology.
Are my credits and degrees from other universities or colleges transferable to ECCU?
Credits are not transferable between ECCU and other universities but ECCU does award credit for previous credits and degrees earned up to a maximum of 60 credits. A student’s transcripts will be reviewed and the student will be notified of credits awarded.
Degrees and credits from ECCU do not typically transfer to state schools and universities because our curriculum and accreditation is limited to Christian theology and biblical study.
